Mara

Hmmm , some of you may wonder what this thing is. The picture was shot from a game name "Free space 2" made by Volition inc. It is a space combat sim' game. Mara is one of your enemy craft. The class of the game's ship come from myth charactor many game designers like. This could explain about the real origin of name "Mara". Here is another thing I found on internet.

One of the two transcedent powers in Indian lore, Mara is the master magician of illusion, and became in Buddhist belief the Evil One. It was he who assailed the original Buddha, Gautama, as the priest lay in meditation under the Bo Tree. But Gautama gathered the gods to him, and Mara, shamed, retired. It is believed that he waits on the edge of the world, waiting to seize the souls of the dying. He is portrayed as a demonic creature with a hundred arms that rides an elephant. Mara rules the sixteenth level of heaven, the Paranimmitavasavattin.

That's it. It is "he" , not "she" we know but it doesn't matter. The fact is that "Mara" is "Mara" , not Marler or else we fans had been argued about.
